WHAT IS THE "NON-INFLATABLE
MONTY PYTHON TV COMPANION"?
Well, for starters, it's non-inflatable so when you buy it (you are going to buy it, aren't you?) I strongly suggest that you don't waste valuable reading time blowing on its spine trying to inflate the damn thing. It won't work. We've tried everything to get the book to inflate: plastic bladders, rubber nozzles - we even sent it to the best German surgeons living in Argentina, but its hopeless.
Secondly, this non-inflatable book-thing is about the making of the fabulous British TV comedy series: Arthur Megapode's Cheap Show. Er, no, I mean Gwen Dibley's Flying Circus. Wrong... Monty Python's Flying Circus! Yes, that's right, those good old Monty Python boys: Vic, Roger, Tommy, Joe, Derek and Ian! No, wait, aren't those are the names of the guys in A Flock of Seagulls? Oh well, nevermind, if you've come to this web page then you certainly know who comprised the Python team. And you probably even know that Arthur Megapode's Cheap Show and Gwen Dibley's Flying Circus (amongst others) were very nearly the original title of the series.
Well, if you know so bloody much about Monty Python then why buy a book about the making of the Python series? Because I bet you don't know the original inspiration behind the characters of The Pepperpots. Or what real life (and Oscar-nominated actor) inspired their sketch "Hospital For Over-Actors"? Or which Terry Gilliam animation is now housed in London's prestigious Victoria and Albert Museum as an example of classic 1960s Pop culture? Ha! See, you're not so clever after all, are you, smartie-pants! Well, not to worry, all this - and more - is revealed for a mere pittance in the wonderful and non-fattening new book...
